Who We Are

Our Mission

The women of the IDF are represented in many diverse units; intelligence, surveillance, medics, tank combat and we also visit the border policewomen.

Our aim is to show appreciation to these beautiful young women to provide through music, entertainment, hafrashat challah, food and gifts.  We offer some emotional support to these women who have witnessed so much in their young lives.

This is all under the auspices of the IDF Rabbanut education department.

Our Vision

To date, since our first concert on a base near Hevron, March 3, 2024, we have had 30 events. These combat women had spent 6 weeks in Gaza.

On average, we go once a week to different bases and have music and dancing, a “hafrashat challah” (taking challah) and food.  We bring them gift bags with practical and beauty items. Our intention and hope is to continue with emotional, mental and social support for our Chayalot while they are in training, during their service and after they complete their service.

We see this as a sister-to-sister initiative and an opportunity to show our love, appreciation and unity with our Chayalot

How It Began

SIMCHAT TORAH – 7TH OCTOBER 2023

Israel as we knew it, all changed, as we were thrown into a war. Three of our sons were called up to reserves on that black shabbat is impossible to describe the feeling of a mother, as one hugs one’s son goodbye, on shabbat, and sends him into the great unknown.

A month into the war, on November 6th, 2023, we were allowed to go to one of our son’s bases, to make a BBQ. I saw some young surveillance women on the side and went to chat to them. they were very much still in a state of shock, as they had lost friends on October 7.

On December 27th, 2023, we went back to this base and to these brave young women and gave them a sushi party.  We brought thermal underwear and gift bags with toiletries and thus, with a lot of heavenly help, this project ‘lev l’Chayalot’ was born.

I must stress the tremendous kindness of our sisters, from all over the world, who have helped this to flourish and continue to help us.

It Counts

Your Contribution Can Make a Difference

Make a Donation

Your donation can fund meaningful appreciation events for women soldiers, combining dinner, music, and gratitude. A well-planned dinner provides a warm atmosphere for camaraderie and recognition and creates a memorable experience. Where possible we provide live or recorded music to help uplift these young women and also honor their service through entertainment that resonates. These events foster connection, celebrate achievements, and promote mental well-being by offering a respite from daily challenges. Tokens of appreciation, such as thank-you cards and gifts, also enhance the event’s impact. Your generosity creates unforgettable moments of recognition and joy.

Contribute Items We Need

Our sisters-in-arms often appreciate practical, compact toiletries that suit the demands of military life. Essentials include durable, travel-sized hygiene products like toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorants, and multi-purpose soaps. Lightweight, unscented skincare products, including sunscreen and moisturizers, protect against harsh environments. Minimalistic cosmetics like tinted lip balm, mascara, or BB cream allow for a polished look within regulations. Durable hair ties, dry shampoo, and small mirrors are valuable. Products emphasizing convenience, efficiency, and portability are preferred, helping maintain hygiene and comfort in challenging circumstances.

Send a Simple Note

A simple note of thanks and gratitude can mean the world to a lone woman soldier. Far from home and often navigating unique challenges, a heartfelt message serves as a powerful reminder that her service is valued and recognized. It provides emotional support, lifting her spirits during tough times and reinforcing her sense of purpose. The personal connection such a note fosters can combat feelings of isolation, reminding her that she’s not alone in her journey. Small but meaningful, this gesture of kindness offers encouragement, showing that her sacrifices are seen and appreciated by those she protects and serves.
